I’m a full stack web developer with a diverse set of skills and experience, with over 6 years specializing in WordPress websites.
I am the founder of Making The Impact LLC, a small business I established in 2018 in my pursuit of a dream and a passion to help others. I started my business because I wanted to help small businesses and non-profits by providing websites and graphics at affordable prices, helping them achieve goals and achieve success.
It’s been a very challenging and enlightening journey. I’ve learned so much and I’m grateful to the experience and the opportunity I’ve had to serve this mission. After 6 years serving the small business community, I am looking to pivot my focus on programming and developing web applications and WordPress plugins.
In pursuit of this new career path, I am exploring opportunities to join an existing development team as well as build projects of my own.
WordPress Plugins
Each of these plugins are available for free on GitHub and include a special update script that will download and install the latest version from GitHub whenever it’s available. I use these plugins on my own sites and those of my clients.
Show My Social Icons
Show My Social Icons is a plugin that has over 50 icons and logos for social media and other popular platforms that people can drop into their website. All the links for the icons are managed in one place, making updating them super easy and convenient. There are different options to customize the look and style of the icons, as well as the ability to display all the icons together, select a series of icons, or just a single one.
My Events Calendar
The My Events Calendar plugin is a simple event calendar and management system that makes it easy to create one-time and recurring events. It supports online and in-person events, Google Maps API, an upcoming events list, and a modern calendar with event details that display in a lightbox.
Simple Maintenance Mode is a plugin designed for new and existing websites that makes it easy to display a customized message or page while the website is being worked on. When in coming soon or maintenance mode, public access to the website is directed to the custom message until the website is switched to Online. Admins and others can bypass the redirection using a unique token with a 12-hour cookie.
Special Projects
These are side projects I am currently working on, in between working on projects for clients.
Math Facts Educational Program
This is a project currently in the planning phase. It is a collaborative project that will result in an educational web application designed for use by schools, teachers, parents, and students.
Hui Social
Hui Social is an AI-powered social media marketing tool currently in the development phase. It is being created as a WordPress plugin that will be installed on the Hui Social website. Access to the tool will be through a subscription system, with free and paid tiers.
Notepad App
This project is an Android mobile app for taking and saving notes. It is to support text notes, task lists, and to do lists. The graphics were created by the client that requested the project. The project has been on hold due to time constraints but is worked on whenever possible.
Websites
For over 6 years, I’ve worked on a wide variety of different websites. I plan, design, setup, and build the websites myself. The websites listed below are just some of the websites I’ve worked on and still help manage (as-needed). All of these websites were created in WordPress and use both free and premium third-party plugins, as well as custom plugins I created.
Automation Control Solutions LLC – Automation Control Solutions is a business that sells high end, in demand PLC parts to various factories and businesses that depend on them.
Feeding Hope – Feeding Hope is a client of my former employer. He contacted me to design and build a WordPress website for them.
Mark J. McCracken – Mark J. McCracken is a mystery writer with a series of detective books. His website will be launched soon.
InFocusETFs.com – This is a website designed for a company promoting exchange traded funds.
OKBargains.com – Oklahoma Bargains is an online flea market where I sell various new and used items online in central Oklahoma.
Sulphur4Rent.com – This website was created for a rental company in Sulphur, Oklahoma.
GlobalViewPhotography.pro – This is a heavily customized website for a photographer who wanted an animated design to showcase his photography.
CaliberCanvas.com – This company sells truck tarps, liners, and canvas products.
RockCreekApartment.com – The RockCreekApartment.com website is for a rental property company in Sulphur, Oklahoma.
BlackTieEntertainment.net – BlackTieEntertainment is a small business in Arkansas that rents out high-tech photo booths to events and parties. I created and designed the website, adding and customizing the online rental system.
GaryRobertPinnell.com – This website for an award-winning book author located in OKC.
Okhomeless.com – This is a website that I created to help the homeless in Oklahoma. It is a directory of resources and information that is actively used by Oklahoma’s homeless population when looking for service and assistance referrals.
