Lisa Li
Web Developer, WordPress Specialist, & AI-Assisted Programmer
Hi, I’m Lisa — originally short for Melissa, but in 2015 I chose to go by Lisa after a personal spiritual renewal in my life. Just as many in the Bible received a new name at a turning point, for me, this was a way of marking a new beginning and dedicating my work and life to serving with purpose.
I’ve been building websites since I was in grade 10 — over 20 years ago. What started as a hobby in the early days of the internet grew into freelance work as a graphic designer and front-end web developer, and eventually into a full-fledged business when I officially launched Making The Impact LLC in 2018.
Since then, I’ve worked with small business owners, nonprofits, churches, ministries, and entrepreneurs to bring their vision to life online. My background in both design and development means I know how to create websites that not only look professional, but also serve people effectively.
In 2023, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with honors from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Today, I specialize in WordPress development — building custom themes, plugins, and scalable solutions. I also integrate modern AI-assisted tools (like Cursor AI and ChatGPT) into my workflow, which allows me to code faster, explore creative solutions, and deliver excellent results without sacrificing quality.
At the heart of everything I do is a desire to serve with integrity and excellence — combining decades of experience with the latest technology to make websites accessible, affordable, and impactful for the people and organizations I work with.

Yawei Li
Programmer, Researcher, & Web Developer
Yawei brings a unique mix of technical expertise and problem-solving experience to Making The Impact. With a PhD in Petroleum Engineering and over 15 years of research in geomechanics, he has developed a strong background in data analysis, programming, and applied engineering.
Alongside his research, Yawei has worked in frontend and backend web development, supporting applications with SQL, Python, and modern coding frameworks. His experience includes building and maintaining software tools, writing clear documentation, and providing technical support for complex systems.
At Making The Impact, Yawei assists with technical development and back-end programming, helping us create stable, reliable, and efficient solutions for our clients.
Outside of work, Yawei values family, faith, and lifelong learning — qualities that align with the mission of Making The Impact to serve others with excellence and integrity.
